Wyatt Earp

My FLGS briefly carried the West Wild Exodus game line, but I guess it didn't do well because one day all of the figures were in the bargain bin. I picked up this one, a steampunk version of Wyatt Earp. I'm particularly proud of the base, which resembles wood flooring. I built this out of slats cut from a coffee stirrer.

Leonidas

Crocodile Games' Leonidas from its Spartan range was an excuse to work on my NMM. The sheild gave the most problem.

Conan, Part 4

I paint on average less than 10 figures a year. I'm very slow and, quite frankly, I don't have a lot of free time for painting. I can somehow find the time for commissions, however. I finished these 21 Conan: The Board Game figures in about a little more than two months. Here's the last batch, with the Vanir Valkyrie, the Princess, Gitara, Akivasha, Taramis-Salome and Atali, the Frost Giant's daughter.

Conan, Part 3

For this latest look at my large commission of figures from Conan: The Board Game, we look at some of Conan's friends. They include Shevatas, N'Gora, Hadrathus and Zelata (and her wolf).

Conan, Part 2

This is the continuation of my large number of commissioned figures for Conan: The Board Game by Monolith. I'm going to focus on the ladies in Conan's life, four versions of Belit and two versions of Valeria. I should note that all of these figures were a mixed bag. I'm not a big fan of plastic because it doesn't hold detail as well as metal. One of the biggest problems is faces as I don't think it's very easy to get an expression, instead creating figures with bland faces. But you can use paint to fix some of that. In case you wondered, I achieved the pale flesh for Belit's latter three versions with a base of Reaper's Vampiric Shadow, which I shaded by adding a little purple and then highlighting with linen white (also Reaper).

Conan, Part 1

I recently completed an extensive commission to paint several figures from Monolith's Conan: The Board Game. I will include them in a series of posts, starting with the big man himself. These are the main Conan, the Conan based on the painting by Brom, King Conan and King Conan's lion.
